Saif Ali Khan arrives home after discharge from hospital following stabbing incident-Watch

Saif Ali Khan, who was stabbed at his home last Thursday, has been discharged from Lilavati Hospital after a five-day stay. Sources close to the actor confirmed that he left the hospital on Tuesday afternoon, accompanied by his wife, Kareena Kapoor. The actor returned home amid heavy security and barricades.

Saif Ali Khan returned home today at 5 pm amid heavy security and barricades. The 54-year-old actor underwent emergency surgery following the attack. It occurred at his residence in Bandra, where he lives with Kareena and their two children. Saif was admitted to Lilavati Hospital around 3 AM on Thursday, where he underwent a five-hour surgery. He was later moved to the ICU for recovery. During the surgery, a piece of the knife was removed from his body.

Saif sustained six stab wounds, including two deep cuts. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors noted that he was leaking spinal fluid. But they confirmed that he was fortunate to avoid severe injuries. Medical professionals have stated that he is now out of danger and recovering well.

Suspect arrested

On Sunday, police arrested the alleged attacker, identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir. He has changed his name to Vijay Das. Fakir has been remanded in police custody for five days. Authorities plan to recreate the crime scene at Saif’s residence with the suspect, who reportedly entered the building with intentions of burglary. According to police statements, Fakir claimed he was unaware of Saif’s identity. He targeted the house because he believed it belonged to someone wealthy.

What happened?

Saif Ali Khan was at his Bandra residence when an intruder allegedly broke in during the early hours of Thursday morning. Following a physical altercation, the intruder stabbed Saif multiple times. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 3:30 a.m. Dr Niraj Uttamani, who treated him, revealed that a foreign object, a broken part of the knife, was found near Saif’s spine and was successfully removed. The actor is now recovering.
